SS stands for “Super Sport.” It’s a performance–oriented trim level that has been used by many car manufacturers over the years. Generally, vehicles that are labeled as “SS” are equipped with more powerful engines and high–performance parts, and the cars themselves often have a more aggressive style compared to their “standard” offerings. Other trim levels may also have performance–enhancing parts, but the SS designation sets the vehicle apart as the most powerful and sporty model.
