Changing the battery in your Oculus VR controller is actually quite simple. To begin, you’ll need two AAA batteries, since each controller requires two in order to work properly.
Begin by using a small Phillips head screwdriver to unscrew the back panel of the controller and remove it. This should be relatively easy, as it was designed to open without the need for additional tools. Once the panel is taken off, two AAA batteries should be visible, one placed on each end of the controller.
Remove the old batteries by gently pulling them out. Take care to not touch the exposed metal contacts as this could cause a short and damage your device. Once the old batteries are removed, take the two new AAA batteries, making sure to match the positive (+) and negative (-) ends with the markings inside the battery compartment. Then, slide each battery into the compartment and replace the back panel.
After both batteries have been securely placed, your controller should be ready to use. Be sure to regularly check the battery levels to make sure you always have enough power when enjoying your Oculus experience!
