How to disconnect gas dryer?

To disconnect a gas dryer:

1. First, shut off the gas supply valve. It is usually located near the base of the dryer.
2. Turn the valve in a counterclockwise direction. It should stop the flow of gas.
3. Once the supply of gas is stopped, turn off the dryer.
4. Unplug the dryer from the wall outlet. If a 3-prong plug is in use, use a screwdriver to loosen the screws on the side of the plug.
5. Unscrew the flexible gas connection to the dryer.
6. Apply soapy water to the joint to check for any leaks. If bubbles appear, tighten the joint and repeat the process until there is no bubbling.
7. Inspect the area to make sure there are no other loose connections.
8. Reconnect the plug to the wall outlet.
9. Switch on the gas supply valve and turn on the dryer to ensure it is functioning properly.
10. Finally, check the dryer for leaks again.
