How long can pasta sit out?

It is generally recommended that cooked pasta should not be left out of the refrigerator for more than 2 hours. After that, the risk of food poisoning increases significantly, as bacteria begin to grow rapidly. Additionally, cooked pasta should not be reheated more than once, as the food can become contaminated with bacteria and cause food poisoning if reheated too many times. Therefore, it is best to refrigerate any cooked pasta within two hours of cooking, and consume it within four days.
