Ferruccio Lamborghini was an Italian entrepreneur who founded Lamborghini, a maker of luxury sports cars, in 1963. Prior to that, he proven himself in business by starting multiple successful businesses such as Lamborghini Trattori, a company which manufactured agricultural equipment and tractors. Lamborghini Trattori was highly successful and even outgrew the sales of Massey–Ferguson and Fiat Trattori to become the best selling tractor at the time. With this success, Lamborghini was able to amass a fortune, which he then reinvested in his luxury sports car venture. Today his name is synonymous with high–end, luxury vehicles.
